Time for Fort Hill to feed the Beast.

It's now time for the 2nd season. Fort Hills path to a state championship must include 1)reduction major penalties. Absolute killers. 2) While it as great to be diversified, and have depth at the skill positions, it's now time to feed Allen, and Willis the ball. They are arguably the 2 best athletes in the county. Time to showcase them. They both need 12-15 touches at the very least, even more if possible. The MR game, and Allegany game, not sure if they had that many touches combined. No more time for experimenting. Feed the Beasts you have. Win or lose throwing your best punch, or 1-2 punch combo. Just one man's opinion.

Q&A with Bishop O'Connell quarterback Ben Cogar

How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“To be honest, not great. I broke my tibia, fibula, calcaneus, and talus in the second quarter of our first game against Saint Stephen’s. Got surgery five days after and I’m done for the season.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I was pleased with my first quarter and a half.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“Our defense has been playing lights out. The only problem is that we aren’t the deepest team and once players get tired, we seem to let up.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think they need to focus up during practice. Some people talk throughout and miss out on good instructional periods and goof off a lot.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“If our offense can move the ball, we will win games. it starts with the offensive line.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Football and baseball.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Wagner, Duquesne, Holy Cross, Bucknell, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Cornell.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Moravian University.”

Q&A with Huntingtown defensive lineman Gabe Aragona

How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Our season is going pretty well, as of this moment we stand 3-2. We dropped two close games losing by less than one score in each game. But we are using those losses to build and help us finish this season strong.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I am pleased with the way I am playing during this season. I am a returning starter on the O-Line, playing left tackle last year, now playing the right tackle position. This year I am playing a lot of defense - the D-tackle, D-end, and nose guard position on our defense.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“We have played very well, we have one of the better defensive units in our conference that helps us shut down opposing offenses. Along with our heating up offense.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“We can improve our chemistry; we have a lot of injuries once we get everyone on the same page and are thinking collectively as a unit we will make [our] great O and D even better.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“The keys for us going forward are getting better every day, and just knowing bad stuff is going to happen to us but we just need to shake it off and keep on stepping up. Also improving the little details and ironing out the wrinkles.”
