WEEK SEVEN PICKEM RESULTS

Here are the results for the pickem contest last week. We are heading down the final stretch of the regular season. All of the MD schools have two weeks left in the regular season. WV has three weeks left.

WAGGLE PASS: 10-2 (61-23)
loco09: 8-4 (68-16)
CrickRat23 8-4 (69-15)
beall02: 7-5 (47-37)
Bleedred4life: 7-5 (58-26)
3rd and goals: 6-6 (62-22)
FHHSAHS: 0-12 (27-57)
bigdawgrefwmd: 0-12 (7-77)
NG Huskies Fan 0-12 (9-75)

The Fort Hill, Tucker County, Petersburg and East Hardy games were all wins for everyone. The Chicago and Tampa Bay games were all losses for everyone. The NFL was rough last week for everyone.

CrickRat23 still holds a one game lead over loco09 for the season lead through 7 weeks. WAGGLE PASS made two games up on those Top 2 last week, and four games up on his/her closest competition, now sitting just one game behind 3rd and goals for 3rd. Should be an exciting final two weeks of the regular season.

Frederick 17 Linganore 0

Linganore isn’t very good, that about sums it up. Seemed like they ran the same 2 or 3 plays all night and it obviously didn’t work. Linganore doesn’t have the horses up front on the o-line and it shows.

Wasn’t terribly impressed with Frederick. Linganore didn’t play a bad defensive game, Frederick was extremely athletic and made just enough plays to get it done. Assuming Oakdale holds onto their lead against Urbana, it will be Frederick and Oakdale for the Frederick County title next week.

Smithburg vs FH game...

I just want to make one comment. I don't know if it's the culture of Smithsburg's team or the new head coach, but the team should be commended on their sportsmanship. They came to Greenway likely knowing their fate, but were giving FH players a hand up off the field - a lot. I know many people don't give much credence to this, but this is what a real young man does. This shows more character and manliness than 500 TDs. This should be second nature to all of these young players, win or lose.

My (very) unsolicited $0.02.
