Alco Football

This year Alco has their best senior class they’ve had for a while with around 14 seniors, including Zac Michaels. He is big and strong. This football class is one of the only classes that hasn’t lost players to FH that I know of m. On another note there are quite a few kids going from Braddock to FH. It’s good for the kids to do what is best for them, but it’s hard for Allegany to keep losing kids.

Fort Hill v Allegany 3

What a gutsy team performance from FH last night. In a game that could have gotten way out of hand early, these kids found a way hang in and right the ship. Going the first 6 minutes without a point, these guys were relentless on defense, on the boards, and fighting for loose balls. Lets face it only Allen and Brown were effective on offense, Seifarth and Burns were non factors offensively, but damn if they didn't keep their heads in the game with great defense, and overall under control floor game. Spencer, Willis, and Palmisano were tenacious defensively, and allowed Burner steal some minutes off the bench when Brown, then Seifarth got in foul trouble. These seven kids balled their asses off last night and wouldn't be denied. Games like this builds team character, and allows you to survive and advance. Good luck to FH moving forward to your ultimate goal. Kudos to the Allegany kids who played their hearts out, never hang your head when you leave it all on the floor. There just might be something a little different about this Sentinel team. TEAM FIRST!!!!

Fort Hill Schedule

Just Dreaming

1. Riverheads. Va
Two of the most successful small school programs in the country. Not too far away and both run the wing T. The hype around this game could be built up even bigger than the Melbourne Catholic game!!
Champion vs Champion!

2 Sherando Va
That game at Sherando was one of the very best games I’ve ever seen!

3. Parkersburg South.
Big red versus big reds

4 Walkersville and Middletown
Good small school programs not too far away.

5. Bridgeport or Martinsburg Wv
two great programs.

Any two of these programs on the schedule would be amazing. I have no delusions for the harsh realities of the schedule making job😂

Fort Hill vs. IMG Academy

Wanted to share an email I received this morning about the October 13 opening on the FH football schedule. While everyone will laugh at such a request it should also be considered a great honor that a Top 5 National Travel team who knows nothing about Cumberland would look up Fort Hill and determine this is someone they would put on their schedule in their yearly hunt for that mythical high school national championship. I realize image is everything and FH football is a million miles from their competitive levels, but that image was built on achievements. So congrats to the coaches and players on the Hill.
