So in your book, if the roles were reversed, if there was video of George Floyd with his knee in that cop's neck killing him, would it have taken 5 days for George Floyd to be arrested?
He would've been shot on sight by another cop if that was the case.
As opposed to what really happened when not ONE other cop even said "hey, man...maybe you should take your knee off his neck"...they are all complicit. Period.
George Floyd was murdered. Eric Gardener was murdered with a choke hold while selling untaxed single cigarettes in NY. No charges.
And let us not forget what happened to Mr. Brown in Ferguson: Officer Wilson refused to carry mace, because he didn't like the smell; he refused to carry a taser, because it was too bulky. So, to stop Mr. Brown from pinning his cruiser door shut, Wilson pulled his handgun and shot through the door. When Mr. Brown then started walking away - unarmed. Officer Wilson ordered him to stop.... Brown stopped... raised his hands and shouted, "If you want to shoot me... shoot me." The closer Brown got to Wilson (having no mace or taser) he started to fire. Finally, the last shot was a downward killing shot as Brown had fallen to his knees. He was murdered. No charges.
Daniel Shaver (not a minority) was shot begging for life. He was murdered but the officer was found innocent by a jury. So there you go. Law enforcement is usually not charged and when they are, juries set them free. Politicians who can change the laws never do and we the people, given a chance to met out justice, hardly ever do.... whether in a jury or in a voting booth.
So, the politicians disarm citizens in the cities... and when the riots happen, and ANTIFA takes over, the police are nowhere to be found until enough folks are burned out, beaten or murdered. In the end we get the government we deserve. We never really demand change.
We are going to let the politicians order us to stay in our houses; let the police fine us for standing too close together; let the anarchists murder us and burn us out. We allow it because we allow the politicians to tell us it's the other political party doing it.
Truth.... we allow it ourselves and have only ourselves to blame.

So, to explain to you sir, you understand that a "crime is not a crime". The justice system moves differently depending on who is being accused. That's why people are out in the street protesting.
Let's not over complicate the situation. If the justice system worked correctly there is no reason for ANTIFA or the anarchists to even be part of the conversation. It seems like the political/business establishment is finally realizing that every time a bad cop kills somebody it's going to result in millions of dollars in property damage and financial settlements.
I don't think they are finally realizing anything. Other than giving lip-service to anarchists and abrogating their responsibility to change police procedures that they, themselves control, the governors and mayors have done nothing and will do nothing because we keep reelecting them. I see no reason for any of the politicians to do anything other than blame the burned out cities on the opposite political party boogeyman.

So, the coordinated pallets of bricks, bottles with accelerants, staged stolen cars and the money changing hands on the streets and all the coordinated chatter between areas to be hit were all put together in a couple days because the officer wasn't charged... and it all stopped because he was charged... because well, the riots were only about Floyd. Ugh... maybe not. On the other hand, one might... just might get the idea that ANTIFA had riots planned and was merely looking for a convenient excuse.

I'm not sure about your conspiracy theory about ANTIFA, but I'm also not going to dispute it. But why give ANTIFA the opportunity? Don't overlook the fact that this entire situation was caused because the justice system broke down in this situation and has broken down consistently for a long time when it comes to people of color.

Mattis fell out with the administration because he favored Iran. He didn't want to pull out of the nuclear deal. Then, he didn't like Trump's Syrian policy of reduced troops on the ground with Trump's idea of hammering Isis with air strikes. As it turned out Trump's plan was perfect.
We pushed Isis in to a half square mile and they surrendered. Syria, Turkey and the Kurds have so far worked out their differences. I believe Isis once controlled an area the size of Texas and is now gone as a nation state.
Result, Trump gets no real credit, as usual, and Mattis is a bitter man for having been so wrong on so many things. He was great in the Marines... should have stuck to it and retired. Now I gather he is vying for a talking head position at CNN.
Incidentally, even Obama fired Mattis without the courtesy of a phone call. Apparently, Mattis had a unique ability to irritate people.

Thank you! I read this online earlier and was waiting for it to be posted. Because now I am going to ask about what this means. I believe this entire mess is political, which is why I jumped back into the thread. I will sink slightly into race only to prove a small - but what I consider significant - point.
It's called political hijacking: affirmative action was primarily directed toward black males; it got hijacked into 'women and minorities' - white women are the primary beneficiary of a program designed to help the black male. More recently, with the growth of black owned businesses and black unemployment at an all time low, the flood of Hispanics - mostly illegal - into the country has wrecked the inner city school systems and turned the cities into warring cartels that have recruited young black males and set them against each other - because who has ever cared if black males kill each other off.
So, we have whites of fringe political persuasions supporting black citizens in destroying what are mostly minority businesses and low income housing. So, is the answer that minority blacks cannot identify white 'right-wingers' in their ranks or cannot identify middle class ANTIFA whites that are burning down their businesses?
And... if you look at all the vids you can clearly see - and many have been arrested - young, white ANTIFA, looting and beating shopkeepers in the streets. Scratch your head and ask how 'white supremacists' have managed to join primarily, middle class young ANTIFA to lead and financially support the black communities in self destruction?
I believe when you get to the level of asking that question, you get to knowing the answers in all this. ANTIFA is vast and huge. It is internationally financed. You couldn't fill a high school gym with real Nazis, but you sure as hell could find enough to want to start a race war.
All of this is why I have posted here that things will not change. The minority community is once again being used. After Freddy Gray, billions were directed to Baltimore that mysteriously disappeared. Progressive mayors and governors are allowing - and in fact encouraging - the destruction of their own cities. Bank on the fact that when the money shows up to rebuild it will also disappear into political pockets.
As always, the solution is in the hands of the inner city minorities themselves. You had the Freddy Gray riots and Baltimore is still a rat infested shithole. You still have a massive murder rate with only a third solved because the community has lost faith in the police and will not support them. All the while the black community elects the same people again and again that rip them off and ignore them while getting elected by blaming the other political party that never gets elected.
It is and will continue to be politics.
