I don't wear a mask not because I don't want to wear a mask. I don't wear a mask because you went on vacation this year and protested in the street when I was told to stay home and was mandated to stop large gatherings. I don't wear a mask because you leave your home for very unessential reasons. I don't wear a mask because when the Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos puts in an order that all kids be back in school you fight it, but when Health Director Anthony Fauci puts in an order to shut down business and wear a mask I'm expected to follow the order.

It's time you stop telling me how to live and die when you selfishly break the COVID chain and promote the spread of this virus. It's time you stop telling me who I need to listen to and who you don't need to listen to.

Somehow we have moved into the line of thinking that we cannot move forward into anything unless their is ZERO risk of something negative happening or someone getting offended. That mindset is paraylyzing the ability of our schools and society to make any type of progress which is very concerning to me.

I hear you, and I couldn't agree more. To hear a leader of the movement say "if we don't get our way we will burn the system to the ground" should be enough to show them for exactly who they are. This is all an organized movement for political purposes only. The murders committed by black men against black men every single night in chicago that goes unreported by the mainstream media shows again that black lives apparently don't matter, unless they are extinguished by a white cop. When 50% of a races babies are aborted, can you really believe them when they say "black lives matter"? It's their own actions that make me question if they have any souls at all.

More proof it's nothing about their lives. Anybody could take an incident and twist and turn it into something for their cause. The sad thing is so many people have been manipulated into believing a bunch of lies One bad cop in one department is not unusual. One football player who beats his wife is not unusual. One NBA player who says he's going to a funeral and ends up in a strip club endangering everybody around him is pathetic. Another professional athlete suspended for drugs or conduct issues is routine...we should defund every team who has a player who does something wrong...punish everybody for the mistake of one person if we're being consistent.

This is actually true, it's time for the Democratic party (or people in general) to separate themselves from BLM as an organization. The complication comes because the phrase "BLM" was necessary at some point and people are still used to saying it. More and more people are recognizing the BLM organization for what they are.

Mineral County has decided to give studetns and parents an option. Virtual or in-school/hybrid (2 in-school, 3 virtual). I like the idea of choice and the ability to attempt to move forward. I like this because as educators we should do everything possible we can to give our studetns the best education possible and the opportunity to do the extracurricular activities thye enjo and that enrich their school experience.

Even if at some point we need to shut down and go all virtual I think we need to make an attempt to move forward. I talk to my students and parents frequently and the students desperately want to go back to school. If perhaps the fear of the virus and it's effects ends up being worse than the consequences of all we have lost then we have done our students a huge injustice.
