But I'll state the obvious...COVID cases will rise again in Maryland. Then decline. And rise again. Why people cannot grasp such a thing is beyond me.

I have to repeat myself: When you test more people, you find more total cases. What I need to see are the % that test positive. That is your indicator. And again in Florida, they are testing more and freaking out on total cases while the % of positive tests are still less than March and April. It's so dumb that it's like saying...well the Orioles scored more runs in 9 innings than the Yankees did in 4 innings. OK then.

Hand sanitizer is always a good thing - but passing the virus by touching something is exceedingly rare as to be non existent. The masks and distancing are ineffective because the virus is passed mainly from close proximity to someone coughing or sneezing... usually in a nursing home. I believe the masks are mere symbols of control by government, establishing that they, at anytime, can demand more of a targeted group and less - if anything at all - from a preferred group.

MD has been testing more and showing less cases. This goes against your argument that more testing will naturally produce more cases.

Not all states can say with more testing there are less cases. Why? FL, OK, AR, and SC all were in a hurry to open businesses while not requiring patrons and workers to wear masks. Now they are facing the consequences.

It was nice to go the gym today. While I didn’t have to, I wore a mask the entire time, and I wore gloves. All employees were wearing masks, too, and social distancing was indirectly enforced by the way the equipment was established.

I think Hogan has done a good job handling this. He pretty much fell in line with most every governor though. He earned my respect buying tests from South Korea. Because they didn't want him elected. That endorsement is always a negative that - what few Klan there are - laugh about when they make it. They know he would take away reasons that they protest against. Think about it (well... try), the more things don't change the more mayhem in the cities... the greater influence the Klan might have. If a violent drunk, who had just battered two cops and stolen a taser - were running amuck in my neighborhood - I would expect a community warning to go out, followed by a helicopter with search lights, dogs and a host of additional police to find the guy.

I guess different neighborhoods have different expectations. If it happened in some neighborhoods, I guess they are so used to violence and some degree of danger in the streets they would agree to let the guy go.

On another point, the guy didn't just get loose and run away. He battered the officers and stole a taser. Police are obliged to use necessary force to stop whatever force is used against them. Were they expected to pull out another taser and go into a taser shootout when the guy turned and fired his taser? And, again, were they supposed to just let a violent drunk with one of their tasers go free into the community?

If this happened in front of your house would you really have wanted the cops to just let the guy run around your backyard, drunk with a taser waiting for him to sober up? Well, different communities with different points of view I guess.

Even after he was awakened, the first officer spoke with him calmly for at least 30 minutes. He even asked to be allowed to walk to his sister's house. ("We'll keep your keys for the night sir, walk to your sister's house") (Even better, "We will keep your keys for the night and drive you to your sister's house"), He had already taken two sobriety tests, so if they wanted to issue a warrant for arrest the following day that was still an option. So there were many "non-violent" alternatives to resolve the situation. What party initiated the "violence"? Then after the cops initiated the "violence" (2 against 1) and then still got beat up, they shot him in the back as he was running away from them. I already explained how the police could have easily apprehended him without lethal force.

Non-violent approach by police: Let the dummy walk home, his daughter still has a father, and the police chief and both officers still have a career.

Violent approach by police: Perp is dead, police chief is fired, two stupid cops behind bars.
