Actually Russia tried to "influence" our election with some sophisticated ways and methods....how successful were they is open to question.
I've not read one thing where they "hacked" the election i.e. went into a system and changed votes.....maybe there is something I've not read that specifically says that....

Actually, the Russians spending a few million dollars on 'click bait' adds via Facebook wasn't very sophisticated; nor was fake 'dossier' information very sophisticated claiming the Russians were running operations out of their consulate in Miami when the Russians have no consulate in Miami.
It is also not very sophisticated to claim Russia 'hacked' a DNC server when the FBI never took possession of the server in order to verify the claim.
The only foreign nationals that we know influence US elections are in the states that legally allow 'illegal' and green card foreign nationals to vote. Md alone has several jurisdictions: College Park, Hyattsville, Barnesville, Garret Park, Glen Echo, Martin's Additions and Somerset.... it just keeps growing.
