Recruiting: “Lately I’ve heard from Penn State, Ohio State, Northwestern,
Pittsburgh, Rutgetrs, and Maryland. I am going to Penn State and Ohio State
coming up.”

Discussion of offers: “Penn State has said something about
it. They came to the school and said how they love how I play. After the
football season, they said they’ll give me a scholarship but right now I have
zero.”

A favorite college growing up: “Ohio State is my favorite college
team right now.”

Changing high schools: “At the end of the day, the commute was 100 miles
every day. The commute and there were some other factors that went along with it
that was not worth the return I was putting into it.”

Picking Cornell:
“It was just the best overall. Obviously it is a very good academic school. They
helped me through the process and they offered me some money. I decided to take
that because it was the best fit for me.”

Others considered: “Eastern
Kentucky, Princeton, and Purdue were the ones I was seriously considering.”


What Cornel thought about the school change: When the admissions stuff was
sent in, they had to look at it and they green lighted me. Their coaches wanted
to see film and I sent that in. They are still good and they want me to play
there. I don’t think this change has made any difference to them.”

pretty awesome. I went to the West Virginia and it was a great atmosphere being
in the stadium. Then at night I went to Pittsburgh and I loved it there. They
share their stadium with an NFL team so that is cool.”

am definitely going to a Penn State game. I might go back up to Pittsburgh. I
might go to BC and ECU. We don’t have the playoffs so I’ll have the time to do

me hard. I talk to the coaches at South Carolina State a lot. I’m looking for a
late offer from Maryland. Those are some of the schools but I think a lot of
stuff will come at the end of the season.”

Offers: “I have offers from
Delaware, Bryant, ODU, and some other schools.”

Why Bryant is the
favorite: “It is because they have always been there. They say something in me
before I did all the training and got much better. They stick with me and have
always stayed interested.”

Maryland: “My coach told me that they want to
see how good of an athlete I am. They are waiting to see my SAT score but right
now they are pleased with my athletic ability. I’ve been doing week in and week
out against great teams.”

Visits: “I visited Maryland and Delaware but
I’ll visit Maryland again. I’ll probably take a visit to ODU but I’m not sure
when they’ll be.”

A final decision: “It’ll probably be on Signing Day but
it might be longer than that.”

Visits: “I was up at Boston College for their game
against Florida State and I visited Maryland over the summer.”

love everything about the school. The coaching staff is great and I have a great

this year. I am looking to get to Pitt and Wake Forest again.”

during the summer. I don’t want to wait too long so I can focus on my senior

Recruiting: “I’m still committed to Tennessee.”

Why he picked
Tennessee: “I went down there and they didn’t know about me. When I showed up
and performed, Coach Jones said there was a 99% chance that I was getting a
scholarship. He stuck with that and three days later he had a scholarship for
me. With him being new, I was never on their board but he didn’t care about
rankings. He wasn’t political like a lot of schools and he took a chance on me.”


Having the pressure taken off by committing: “There has been a lot of
pressure on my shoulders but I just tell them they I am committed. I can now
focus on school and football.”

Other schools recruiting: “It has been
Pitt, Arizona, Ohio State, and Maryland.”

is excellent. We got the #2 or #3 recruiting class in the country and a bunch of

said they liked what they saw during the summer but they want to see my

visit at JMU and it was pretty good. They showed us around and showed us the
whole campus.”

I just received word that McDonough wide receiver Josh Teachey out of the SMAC has received an offer from the coaches at Toledo. I'll hopefully have more soon as well.
