I asked what he thought about his steak sub and he said it was good but had too much of the seasoned lettuce on it. I told him those are fightin' words - it's game on now! No one comes here and disrespects our seasoned lettuce. He laughed.

He thought Cumberland was beautiful. Didn't realize it was that old historically. Team walked the canal today.

Game is at 3:00. Gates open at 1:30. Soccer games this morning.

I agree with him. The seasoned lettuce is not as good as it used to be and they put too much of it on there.

East/WOI - no respect

Also, I mentioned in the past that East/WOI is a combination of two Rochester, NY schools. East High School and World of Inquiry. Since WOI does not offer football as a sport, players are permitted to play at East HS. That is how you get the combination in the name despite being two different schools. They will be Class 2A in Maryland size, which if the MPSSAA named our classifications properly would be 3A.

Frankfort schedule is embarrassing

FH is a Top Team in MD in the lowest class and Frankfort is a Top Team in WV in the 2nd lowest class, schools are close to the same enrollment. if FH loses just 2 this year 7-2 they might win the area, if they lose 3 and Frankfort is Undefeated at 10-0 they win the area... I truly believe FH wins 9 out of 10 years but I think Frankfort could play with them this season.

Teams don't play each other and schedules are extreme opposite ends. Your argument makes no sense. Local area football is not college football.

They are at the 1A West top now in points. Even with a loss tomorrow against East/WOI, they will still be at the top. This is probably the worst West Region from top to bottom in a long time.

Mountain Ridge 21 at Northern Garrett 20 FINAL/OT

Mountain Ridge gets their 100th victory in school history this evening in Accident. If you are a Mountain Ridge Miner fan, the only thing that would have made it better would've been if the victory came against Allegany or Fort Hill. They had their chance to get it last week against Fort Hill.

This program has come so far in the past 5-8 years. The 2024 campaign will not be a repeat of the past three seasons, but they are sitting at 4-3 with two regular season games left.

The JV team has only one loss this year; I believe, to Frankfort, so let's see what the next few years bring under Coach Shipe.

I have been very impressed with the fight in this year's team. They have had so much go against them thus far, but here they are with two regular season games left.
