I think we were so happy to have a change from Preaskorn that we would've accepted anybody but your right he's done nothing positive. He turned our defense into a complete joke since taking over.

My first thought was to fire Hansel for his unethical behavior in adding fuel to Southern's craziness. However, he has shown that he can't beat Fort Hill, not even when he has their playbook, so let him alone, Alco can embrace him!!!
When an Employee of The School Board is sending text to others and calling others and then Slanders another School in the same County by sending the other schools on the FH schedule and all the other area teams slandering them, that's pretty bad.
If for say at any work place you call and send stuff about other employees to other employees to make them look bad and also send incorrect info to other companies to make that person look bad and it comes out to be not true at all and also the info comes out on who you called and also text and facebook messages, 9 times out of 10 that person would be fired and this is The Board of Education in this case paid by Taxpayers.
I don't know him personally, I just think he jumped the gun and looks even worse in this situation because he is employed by the same people.

If nothing else there is definitely a case for a civil/slander suit.
No one was slandered at all. Not even close. What was said in that message that is even useable? Nothing. 'You know' isnt evidence of anything. What incorrect info was sent in this message? Where is there evidence of any wrongdoing?
So we need evidence when its against FH, but when its against anyone else we jump to conclusions?

I agree. I have seen the tape and feel something is going on. With that said, if the roles were reversed and FH filed the complaint, I too would understand that. Also the press release said insufficient evidence not no evidence. So there was something questionable just not enough for final proof
Insufficient evidence is a kind way of saying no evidence. It's to allow the accuser(s) to save face.

Yea, I've seen the tape as well. There is nothing there. Other than players being prepared and making adjustments. I've also heard people from WCBC, such as Paul Miller, say that there is nothing. All this was, was Southern trying to find some lame duck excuse for losing a game they tried their damndest to win

Anyone that believes there were listening devices in helmets and that it was kept quiet for a period of time is a complete moron. Or just extremely sour about FH football success they can't even think. It can't be kept a secret in South Cumberland.
One and done Southern. Their seniors will be handing in their uniforms soon enough. The best team at Southern in nearly two decades can't beat the least experienced FH team in 6 years.
Southern will travel to FH for the playoff game in 2 weeks and then cry they don't want to come back next year when they suck again. Just like they have done the last 4 years. Then Nazelrode will lead the team off the field crying about it the whole way looking for something FH did wrong. All he does is cry.

Saw the video. Understand why they reported it. Also understand why it wasn't enough evidence either. What I don't understand is why MPSSAA didn't simply tell the refs at the next game to have the players (1 or 2) remove their helmets. Would have been black and white and discreet. Instead, MPSSAA said nothing for a week and Southern got antsy. If they found nothing, you all would have most likely found out and still made fun of Southern and others just the same. But that would have made too much sense.
If Southern was convinced there were devices in the FH helmets (and they are still convinced) they would have calmed down first before letting their immediate anger over the loss get in the way of an intelligent response. Never make a drastic move until you calm down first and use logic. If they were smart they would have kept the complaint secret for a week or so and yes found a way to check the helmets when FH played against Silver Oak or Forest Park or even Mountain Ridge. Then filed an official complaint to the MPSSAA.
Instead, they lost to FH on Friday and handed out the video the following Monday to everybody with a pulse including the FH opponents with a stamp on the package that said HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT THE FORT HILL CHEATERS. Southern is not the judge and jury, never should have done that. Which was where they royally screwed up in the slander department. You do not interfere with an opponents ability to have relationships with other schools, especially without a full burden of proof. I can speak first hand when I say FH has a hard enough time getting football opponents. There was no reason to send that video out to the world via Hudl aside from a severe anger disorder. There was going to be no way that video they had was going to convince any jury beyond reasonable doubt that FH was guilty. Yes, I can see where someone might think it was possible from the video, but never a conviction. That is why the vote was 6-0. It wasn't Fort Hill's job to show they were innocent, it was Southern's job to prove they were guilty and they did not have proof for a conviction of such obviously.
I have been forthright about it and I'm saying again with ZERO doubt that FH doesn't put anything in the helmet. It's stupid beyond belief. It's as stupid as FH claiming Southern intentionally would not fix the press box roof for that game so they could set this all up. I know the Southern AD very well and it's Stupid. I have known the FH coaches most of my life and it's Stupid. They could never have kept this a secret forever even if they wanted to put a device in the helmet, never. So many people would have had to lie forever. Why people cannot comprehend this is beyond me...or once again STUPID!!!

Great response. If anyone has truly watched FH play, it’s obvious there are no devices in the helmets. If there were, the QB would not have to come to the sideline for every play. There would never be miscues, a need to call a timeout to prevent a delay of game, etc. Their ability to adjust is because the coaches put the time in and are prepared. What Southern did is slanderous. Hearing Appel talk to the coaches on the sidelines is all they have. Nothing more. Southern should be embarrassed by their actions.
From the beginning the Southern coach completely mishandled this entire situation and it continued right through last Thursday with not even having the decency to answer or return WCBC's phone calls after setting up the interview weeks earlier. If he would've won the MPSSAA judgement he would've been on every radio station between Oakland, MD and Oakland, CA telling the world. He had egg on his face so he tucked his tail between his legs and showed his true character once again.
That is actually false information.
They reported the claim to the MPSSAA on the Monday, Oct. 10th. MPSSAA asked them to be quiet about it and MPSSAA would get back to them. After several days (almost a week), they heard nothing and then informed other coaches because they felt that MPSSAA was not going to do anything about it. Which is true, they didn't. MPSSAA asked ACPS to look into it. (Which was a joke) They could have easily investigated by asking officials to look into the helmets of the two defensive players that were reacting to the coaches commands before the next game, but they chose not to. Oh well... moving on.
Most likely, Fort Hill will beat Southern at home in the playoffs. But I think given all the circumstances, hats off to Southern for losing by 7 which was Fort Hill's closest game all year.
Southern just gave FH locker room motivation to spare with this nonsense.
