Maryland Varsity is bringing readers an in-depth recruiting look with the
Varsity Insider. Find out what colleges are after Anton Casey, Jack
Pilkerton, Tevon Littleton, Robert Turnbull, and Damien Farmer now!
......................................................................................................
Whitman defensive end Anton Casey
Camps: “The only ones for sure are Harvard, Brown, U of Penn, and Lehigh so
far.”
Calls: “Brown has called me, Villanova has called me, JMU has
called me, Richmond has called me, and Towson has called me. I am sure there are
more.”
Recruiting: “I think it has been a lot of the schools from the
Patriot League and Ivy League as well.”
Offers: "I have an offer from
Fordham, St. Frances, and a roster spot at Butler.”
Close to offering:
“I’d say that Brown is close to offering. If the Davidson camp works out, they
may offer. Those are the two closest I’d say.”
A final decision: “I am
really not sure. It depends on which colleges are there and what is going on
there. I don’t think I’ll be able to make the decision this summer. It will
probably be the fall or maybe even the winter.”
......................................................................................................
La Plata wide receiver Jack Pilkerton
Camps: “I’m trying to go to Towson this week, I’m attending the wide
receiver/quarterback camp at Maryland, one at JMU, and maybe one at Monmouth.
I’ll see if any others come up.”
Calls: “A lot of FCS schools have called
but JMU was the first one hat offered. Towson is very interested and hopefully I
do well at their camp this week.”
The JMU offer: “I was very excited for
the opportunity. It is basically a dream come true to know that I’ll be playing
college football.”
Towson situation: “They are not sure if they are
recruiting me as a wide receiver or a tight end. If I do well enough this week
at wide receiver hopefully I can get an offer from them.”
Others
interested: “It has been Monmouth University, Toledo, Akron, and William and
Mary.”
A final decision: “I’d like to commit either during the season or
right after but first I want to explore my options as much as I possibly can.
Hopefully I can rack up some more offers this summer.”
A favorite: “My
favorite school hasn’t shown a lot of interest but it is Maryland right now. My
favorite college is UCLA but that is a stretch.”
......................................................................................................
Bohemia Manor lineman Robert Turnbull
Camps: “Next weekend we are heading out to Shepherd University for a prospect
camp there. At the end of June, I’m going to the University of Delaware camp.
Then in August, Salisbury University has a camp. As of right now, those are the
only camps I’ve signed up for.”
Recruiting: “I have gotten a lot of
letters from schools that have interest in me. I think right now I’ve talked to
Delaware the most.”
Visits: “I haven't but I am hoping that I can soon.”
A favorite: “I’m undecided right now. I’m really not 100% sure what I want
to major in so I am just looking into the schools.”
......................................................................................................
Largo linebacker Tevon Littleton
Camps: “I plan on visiting a lot of camps like St. Frances, ODU, Richmond,
JMU, and a whole bunch of camps.”
Recruiting: “Towson, St. Frances, ODU,
JMU, Toledo, Temple, Albany, and I just got a scholarship from St. Frances.”
First thoughts on the offer: "I was excited but I know I have work to do to
get more.”
Close to offering: “I think JMU, Toledo, and Stony Brook all
are.”
What those schools are waiting for: “They are waiting to see me in
person. They want me to come up to their camps to see me in action.”
A
final decision: “It will be my senior year by the time signing day comes along.”
A favorite college growing up: “The University of Georgia.”
......................................................................................................
Calvert Hall athlete Damien Farmer
Camps: “We have a schedule where we will be doing a lot of different places.
We have Pitt and Penn State. Then we’ll be doing Wake Forest, Duke, NC State,
and ECU. There are also some 7-on-7 tournaments at Maryland and Towson. We will
also be going to Virginia, Old Dominion, and James Madison.”
Calls:
“There has been one from St. Frances. I have had a lot of coaches talk to me
over Facebook and send mail.”
Recruiting: “I’d probably say Villanova,
St. Frances, Richmond, Fordham, and a lot of schools like that.”
