Southern was up 35 to 0 over Smithsburg with a running clock with a little over 3 minutes to go in the third when it was delayed for weather. After about a 30 minute delay, game was called. Since the clock was running before the game was called, I assume Southern gets the win? Anyone know for sure?

I'm not sure exactly how the rule is written. All the other games that were called was ruled no contests. I would think and hope that in a 35-0 rout that should constitute a win for southern
Well I did find this on the MPSSAA website so I assume the game last night will count. Both teams coaches I'm told agreed to end the game after the weather delay and the Mercy Rule had invoked a running clock. From the MPSSAA website regarding the Mercy Rule:
“A period or periods may be shortened in any emergency by agreement of the
opposing coaches and the referee. By mutual agreement of the opposing
coaches and the referee, any remaining period may be shortened at any time
or the game terminated.”
