The WInners:

The Losers:

Brunswick (game suspended at half but Brunswick losing 28-0 to Manchester Valley)
Huge win for Fort Hill, expected win for Allegany. Garrett County Schools off to a rough start with week one losses against teams that were very beatable. Good win for Hancock and an easy schedule remains. Good win for Smithsburg but their schedule will be challenging for the Leopards. Brunswick in early trouble with week one loss and a very challenging schedule ahead for them. Boonsboro will be off to a great start with the win over 2A Catoctin. Clear Spring also hitting the ground running with a win over St. James.
It's early, but Fort Hill and Allegany should secure 2 of the 4 spots, Boonsboro looks to be the early favorite for a 3rd spot with the 4th spot most likely coming down to Hancock and Clear Spring.
My early prediction is Fort Hill, Allegany, Boonsboro and Hancock/Clear Spring.
How crazy would it be for Fort Hill to play this brutal 10 week schedule and then end up with Hancock or Clear Spring in the first round? While Allegany doesn't play a tough schedule, they are pretty stacked, it would be pretty brutal to see them get to demolish Hancock or Clear Spring in the first round.
One final thought, though not in the West Region anymore, it is interesting to see Manchester Valley on so many of the 1A West Schedules, they beat Brunswick and will potentially have a huge say in what happens for the 3rd and 4th playoff spots.
