Probably the best female athlete in this area in the past 5 years is Kiera Booth. She just finished a 4 year career at Villanova in volleyball and was just offered to play Clemson for her 5th year. Kiera went to Berlin.

Just looking at the future a teacher at FH told me that Washington Middle which is three grades has 600 students, as all four grades at FH has 662 it looks like there will be a nice little uptick in the enrollment over the next few years. Do you know if that's accurate?
Just another comment on crowds, I believe Martinsburg gas around 1500 students...at their state final game last weekend they had around 400 people there from what I hear. You can't say M'burg is an old dying community so I wonder what the heck is going on down there. They used to bring a really good crowd just to play FH, I'd say 1500 or so, maybe even 2000.

Wow, both of the Hagerstown schools have as many students as Alco/FH combined.

There has been talk all year on the WVA board about the small crowds for Martinsburg’s games. Puzzling, especially with Walker back.

There are currently 583 students at Washington Middle School scheduled to feed into Fort Hill.

There are currently 603 students at Braddock Middle School scheduled to feed into Allegany.

There are currently 425 students at Mount Savage Middle School and there are currently 232 students at Westmar Middle School for a total of 657 students feeding into Mountain Ridge.

While each comprehensive high school should grow in enrollment in the next few years, MR will still be the largest followed by Allegany, and FH will remain the smallest.

Berlin lost to Imani Christian in the PA 1A final for the second year in a row. Last time a regular public school won the 1A boys basketball championship in Pennsylvania was 1996, all private schools and charter schools since then.

Imani's coach is saying they will compete in 6A starting next season, PA's largest, saying they want to compete at the highest level. A year late for Berlin.

I think they lost 10 games on the season, they play some challenging competition throughout the year
