Hampshire senior TE/DE Sam Cookman has committed to play football for WVU as a preferred walk-on next fall. He will join Hampshire kicker Evan Staley who is already on the roster. I tell you, WVU has a special situation where in-state tuition is so small (cheaper than Frostburg State) and then many of these students get a Promise Scholarship for maintaining a certain GPA and agreeing to attend a West Virginia university. It's a great opportunity that is so very affordable. It's a dream come true for so many like Sam and Evan.
