“It's been very preparing and it's going to be very successful next year.”

Going forward, what do you feel your team can continue to improve on?

Have you been pleased with your performances?
“Most of my performances, yes, but they can always be better.”

How do you feel about the play of your team?
“We have played with a lot of grit and passion which has helped us win a lot of our games.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?

Q&A with The Potomac School quarterback Camren Boykin
How did the high school football season go overall?
“We finished the season 7-2 and were Co-MAC Champions. We lost to eventual State Champions Trinity Episcopal in the Virginia Independent Schools semifinals. This was The Potomac School’s first postseason appearance since 2013. We accomplished some of our goals in 2022, and we missed others which has us as a team motivated more than ever for the 2023 season.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“The offseason has started. I am working with Quantum-Movement in Vienna, Va. My trainer Matt Booker has been great in developing workouts for my total body, which addresses quarterback performance. As spring approaches, I will look at outdoor track or baseball.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“My teammates and I are very excited about the 2023 season. Everyone has committed to getting bigger and faster. We feel very confident about competing for a conference and state championship next season.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We play in the very tough and competitive MAC Conference. I look forward to competing against Flint Hill, Maret, St. James School, and Sidwell Friends.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“The conference has many great teams and players; If I had to name one player, I am looking forward to competing against next year's three-star athlete Joshua Clarke Flint Hill School.”

Q&A with Flowers wide receiver Deon Windham
How did the high school football season go overall?
“I feel like the football season went great. I would do it again. We just didn’t finish the last step and we are looking to go back for sure.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“In the offseason I’m running track to stay in shape and outside of track I’m trying to find someone to help me work on my craft to get better. I’m going to hit up some camps when it becomes that time too.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“With a lot of juniors coming back I feel like we will do great as long as we work hard as last year. Now that we lost we want it even more and we see how it feels so we are going to strive to make it to states again.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“As of right now I don’t know who would be the toughest. Right now we are just working on getting better in the offseason and getting back to where we were last year and winning it.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“The toughest guy we’ll play against is probably some of the guys from Wise like Ronald Hull [who has] been starting on varsity since his 10th grade year and Decarlos Young #1 from Wise, [he] got moved up his freshman year and has been playing varsity since.”
