Q&A with Wise athlete Freddie Glass
How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall this high school football season was pretty fun for me being around the guys learning and adapting to a new culture, but we left a lot on the table. We didn't accomplish our main goal and that was to win the championship.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans right now are to get better. I’m trying to figure out certain things I need to improve on and get better at. My thing is trying to be in the best shape of my life all round, this is probably the most work I’ve ever put in when it comes to the off-season because not only do I work out 4 days a week with my team but I’ve put the work outside of my team workouts and that’s something I don’t usually do.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think my team will do pretty well this upcoming football season, we’re more locked in than we’ve ever been. We understand that the guys who’ve won something aren’t in the locker room any more so we’re hungry and determined to bring a championship and we understand we have to step it up and carry on the legacy.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Honestly I like our schedule, I think it will be a very tough matchup for us and always will be Flowers. They tasted what it was like to be at the top and they will try to prove that they’re here to stay and we have to reprove that we run PH county.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“There are many tough players we will have to face this year, but one group I’ll have to say is the Flowers defense. I think they’re pretty well rounded, led by that d-line.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I know that we are going to have a good season next year. We have a lot of new young pieces that we added and were expecting to 3-peat.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I feel like our toughest competition is going to be American Heritage because it’s the season opener and the first game and they’re a pretty good team, so it’s going to be a fun game to watch, but other than that I see us going through everyone else.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“One individual won’t be able to beat us, so I don’t see any individual giving us trouble.”
