Any changes to class will not take place until the 2017 fall season. Every two years the MPSSAA collects enrollments and then reclassifies. The only exceptions are where two schools consolidate like Manchester Valley and North Carroll just did. The new school was be reclassified as a 3A school starting next fall.
The Washington Jr. High 8th grade class coming in will determine if FH has to move up in class for 2017. The new enrollment will be turned in come November. But there is no way to speculate until all schools turn in their enrollments. There is another proposal on the table which I'm told will likely pass where at least 5 to 6 more schools will drop back from Class 2A into Class 1A, which would mean Dunbar and possibly even Mountain Ridge drops back into 1A for 2017. Which also would mean FH stays in Class 1A easily.
