My Campers are still far behind the powerhouse sentinels... I wasn't expecting a camper victory but I thought it would be closer than the final score.. FH did what they do to every team, wear them out and dominate the 2nd half. They have the best weight training program and coaching staff in the state of MD. It's gonna take some time to catch up to what FH has built. We cant expect to be on their level in just 1yr. The new Era/post-preaskorn is gonna take some time but I see us headed in the right direction.

Remember some time back two teams from Washington County came to Allegany county [Friday and Saturday] stating they was gonna show these boys up here in these here hills how to play football, and I quote " Football up here aint nothing but a dog and pony show ". One of those teams will be here [again] this Saturday, how's about showing them another episode of the dog and pony show Big Blue? Congrats to a successful year Big Blue!

I'm gonna say you are not that far behind, don't let the final score fool you. It was a 7 point game midway thru the 3rd quarter. If FH has one of their bobbles on a punt, a fumble on a handoff, a pass that turns out to be a jump ball they don't get...anything could've happened. Appel thought they thru everything at them but that is just the way Allegany has played all year. They make it tough - they throw halfback options, screens, run the option, pound when they can, throw when they don't have to, utilize their backs with short passes that are almost like runs but tough to defend, have a great kicker...but when the wheels came off they just came off. I'm a red fan but I honestly hope they don't let down next week, it would tarnish a great season.
On the other hand, did FH play a perfect game? Heck no. Enough with the penalties..the 10th game and you don't know how to line up? Illegal formations in the 10th game is just unacceptable. Did they run a screen pass, an end around, a wide receiver reverse, a halfback option??? They really don't make it tough to prepare, they just out execute. Defensively, when you stop a guy at the line of scrimmage but you hear no whistle, why are you not tackling the guy, why is he running down the sidelines for a 50 yard gain? Wrap him up, make the tackle, don't try and strip the ball..these are things that have been going on since game one - and they still win! Maybe they are just too good to worry about the things I see as fundamentals.

My thoughts exactly... Alco should have had the lead going into the second half. Once Alco was down, I don't think they were tired as much as excepting defeat. If Alco has a lead going into 2nd half, I feel they would have been a little more fired up.

Smart of Apple to save R Smith for after there was some wearing down via Banks

FH owned the line of scrimmage in the 2nd half bad. On both sides of the ball. That was the huge difference. And if they meet again I see the same. If you get beat up front and can't stop the FH fullback it's not good. Even if you stop the fullback the QB and Brown can beat you. But stopping the bread and butter has to come first. That's why this FH team is so damn good offensively. They have the power option, the speed option, a great passer and runner at QB. All behind an OL that has matured immensely. I personally did not think the FH offensive line eould dominate Alco like that. Since the Sherando game this OL is just peaking. On defense they are just too strong and quick. They gave up 3 big running plays. One was a broken tackle and the other the ref wouldn't blow the whistle and everybody just stopped. The third was just a great run by Braxton on the opening drive. But outside those 3 long runs Alco couldnt muster much of anything.

For Alco to have any chance yea, they need FH to hurt themselves. Probably multiple times. Alco cannot afford to do the same at all.
