BW won the semifinal game in the MD private school tournament tonight, they play in the championship tomorrow against Rock Creek.

BW drawing DeMatha in the first round is equal parts giving BW another match up against a top-25 team (they have played more than any other team in the entire country) and doing the best possible to avoid early rematches. For example, if St. Stephen's St Agnes wins against St. Frances, it sets up a rematch of the VISAA championship last week. There is no way to completely avoid it with 3 WCAC schools but opening up the tournament to non-Catholic schools, etc will help balance things out going forward.
St. Frances got a terrible draw in the ACIT because they will have to beat the Top 3 DC teams in consecutive nights to win the championship. St. Frances is ranked #17 in the nation and should have been considered the #2 seed in the ACIT and at least got an easier first round game.
Was MSJ not extended an invitation or did they turn it down for some reason? Unusual for only one team to be invited from Baltimore.
BW loses tough contest to Rock Creek in the Maryland Private School Championship. Refereeing was one-sided against BW all night. Coach Prete was furious with the refs even after the game. The freshman kid Malik came up really big. They are going to lose Ming and Wilson to graduation but (assuming everyone else comes back) they will have a solid core of players returning next year.
They have played a lot of good teams and some of the top teams in the country unfortunately haven’t really pulled off any big wins yet
