Exactly. Nothing here was egregious. Any exception is that it all happened at the Southern bench and their coach's behavior caused the Allegany reaction. They should have merely tossed a couple flags and moved on. The ejection stuff is crap.

Onering, I agree it is much about nothing but I just don’t like someone pushing an agenda towards a coach who made a split second decision that harmed no one. This can be a learning experience for all.

Well, see that is why I was successful with young athletes. I would have known what the scene looked like across the field and tried to get my players - and only my players - back out of the way.
I was doubly successful in dealing with parents and coaches because I held them more accountable for their snap decisions - as should have been the case here. You don't give a coach a bye and penalize players for the perception the coach created.
And still, you can praise and guy who complains about real competition, throws people under a bus and apparently runs to lawyers over a loss.... but to me, that is the real bad example for Cumberland.
Lag, by your logic this, mostly, isolated incident would've likely escalated into an all out brawl. I think cooler heads prevailed, here.
That said, this is a contact sport. It's football, for Pete's sake, not tennis! The only thing concerning to me was when #72 ripped off his own helmet. I'd be curious to know why he did it. Other than that, I saw noting warranting an ejection - IMHO.
I suspect it was because the Southern coach pulled at his collar and grabbed his helmet. So, he got frustrated and yanked it off himself.
Further, it never would have gotten this far if the Southern coaches had simply tended to their own. After all, the incident only involved two players and the refs were running down the field to address it.
What happened was between ALCO and SOUTHERN. Don’t try and bring Fort Hill into something they had nothing to do with.
Looks like to me #25 kept it going. He seems to be in the middle of most unsportsmanlike like conducts all year.
After seeing the video I agree with Helmick and Shakespeare.....Much Ado About Nothing. Only thing that got hurt here is a certain ALCO supporter's ego. Keep FH out of ALCO-Southern discussions.
There’s a certain coach from the blue side that should prob also be held out of the homecoming game if anyone should be. I don’t know what he was saying but it’s bad when two coaches and a player have to escort him back to the sideline. He just kept antagonizing the southern coach. How is this not being talked about?
I believe he was attempting to give an emotional mid game interview and his players didn’t want him to be publicly scorn on a forum. Move along, nothing to see here.
Ok well. I also believe last year around homecoming he posted on a public forum himself called Facebook that he only cheered for a certain ethnicity at the opposing school. He’s a great coach thou.. leader of young men of the future. Yeah I’d keep him around. So...if he continues to not want to be publicly scorn then he should lead with actions not words and be the right kind of coach thouse kids need. If he can’t be then tell any one of those kids The should come learn from a program that has proven leaders as coaches. It’s address is 500 Greenway Ave it’s the Big Red Brick building.
He loves the Alco kids and was upset about one of his players being touched by an opposing coach.
So...that makes it alright for him to try to belly up to one of there coaches and act like he’s going to finish something one of his players started. I guess that’s leading by example?
That's the precedent set by certain people on this forum for excusing a coach's behavior.
