I was there, and if I saw what I thought I saw, when things looked its bleakest for FH it seemed Jabril Daniels refused to let his teammates and for that matter the coaching staff quit. This kid is a true leader. When all heads were down Jabril never lowered his. It's not always about who scores the points. He and Steven Spencer refused to bow down, and their teammates responded. Total team effort.

Congratulations to FH. I just finished watching the game. After that first half, (especially the first period), I didn't think FH had a prayer to win this game. They kept their composure and came out a totally different team in the second half. Once again, congrats boys.

Maybe as simple as the game is changing, maybe passing Teddy by a little. It's a shooters game now. It works against lesser teams, but pounding the ball inside and rebounding doesn't always work against a team of shooters. The last 2 years FH has played a more wide open game. Last night FH made its move from mid 3rd to mid 4th taking a tie game and extending its lead to double digits by playing 5 guards for that 8 minute stretch (brilliant move by the way). Alco had no answer.

Wait, what? You didn't get the sarcasm? I was playing off "all the pretty girls" that Coach H. at Alco has referred to. I thought that it was funny. Back in my day, as a Fort Hill student, I dated a few Alco girls, I thought that they were hotties! Bur again that was five decades ago. (I'm still not as old as Jailer)

Carter has had 4 matches so far and won them all by pin. He will be in the Finals tomorrow. Finals are scheduled from 4 to 6pm as on the schedule. You can watch the Finals on NFHS network

I've seen this kid play football at the youth level. He's very good, but we've all seen this before. Sometimes these kids excel in high school, sometimes they don't. Wherever he goes to high school, that's up to Mom and Dad, let's let this kid get adjusted to the high school game before he gets put under the microscope.

Your statement has some truth in it. When my fifteen year old daughter told me that see wanted to see a boy from Alco, I puked a little in my mouth. However, it looks like this fine young man is going to be going to the RED school next fall. How great is that!!!

Him and his dad wanted to play highschool this year, but said the WVSSAC won’t allow 8th graders to participate in highschool football. He is currently Frankfort district, Frankfort isn’t expecting him. I’ve heard Fairmont, FH with other schools as a possibility.
