......................................................................................................
Surrattsville running back Amaru Major
Camps: “I went to Towson, Maryland, and NC State. Those were the three camps
I went to this summer.”
Camp performances: “I think I performed pretty
good. I improved a lot of my skills and my 40-times kept getting better. I
learned a lot and it will help me throughout the season.”
Camp feedback:
“They said to keep working and they look forward to seeing me again this
football season. They are going to keep in contact with me.”
Recruiting:
“For me I would say it is ODU, Towson, and Maryland.”
Recruiting the
hardest: “I want to say Towson. I visited their school and went to their 7-on-7
camp. Maryland is my second choice. I email and talk to their coaches a lot.”
......................................................................................................
St. Paul's quarterback Anthony Pino
Camps: “I did a pretty good amount of camps. I went to Villanova, Wagner,
Princeton, and Monmouth. I was pretty much all over the place.”
Camp
performances: “I think I did pretty well at most of them. They were all really
interested and it was nice to be able to perform well. I talked to other coaches
at some of the camps. I think I performed well and think I was definitely did
the best I could.”
Camp feedback: “They all said I did well and threw the
ball well. They want to see a few games from my senior season to offer me a
scholarship. I hope to get a few games in and then send those to them.”
Recruiting: “The main schools are Villanova, Monmouth, Stetson, and Butler.
Actually Assumption, a Division II school, offered me when I was at the Monmouth
camp.”
Visits: “I’m not sure yet. I’ll definitely try to visit as much as
possible. I’m talking to Villanova, Stetson and Wagner about getting to a few
games. I’ll try to get to as many as possible.”
......................................................................................................
Archbishop Spalding lineman Jack Shugars
Camps: “I got to go with my team to West Virginia and Pitt. Both of those
went well. I went to Navy, Towson, Bryant, and Georgetown. I didn’t go to their
camp but I got an offer from Butler a few months back.”
Camp
performances: “I thought I did pretty well. I was just competing out there with
all the people and that was fun. I thought I did pretty well.”
Camp
feedback: “I talked to the coaches afterwards and they gave me some good
feedback and a few things I can work on. They said to send more game film and
that they would be getting back to me.”
Recruiting: “I have to say of
course Butler. Then probably Georgetown. Those are definitely the top ones.”
Visits: “It will be just whoever shows up I can visit pretty much.”
......................................................................................................
Bishop McNamara athlete Jordan Edwards
Camps: “I ended up going to Ohio State and Wake Forest. I also went to
Pittsburgh with my perfect performance group. We had different players from
different high schools and got to tour around.”
Camp performances: “I
think I did a great job. I learned a lot from coaches that were there. For
myself, I have stuff to work on but it was great and I did well.”
Camp
feedback: “The Ohio State running back coach told me I did well and that I need
to keep working on my footwork.”
Recruiting: “In the last month, I’ve
gotten letters from Nebraska and Wake Forest.”
Fall visits: “Not really.
I am just getting ready for the season.”
