How did the high school football season go overall?
“We had a decent season. We clinched the 6th playoffs seed in 4A East and had a 1st round exit. It was our first appearance in in about 11 years so we’re proud of that, but we’re not satisfied with how the season ended.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Offseason workouts started yesterday. I’m planning on bulking up with those and in my free time working with some old coaches for some agility work. Then I’ll be running track in the spring while doing something like 100 pushups & and sit-ups a day while gradually increasing.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I definitely need to work on my one-cut and working on kicking in my third gear to win more footraces with dbs.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We have a lot of ‘21 guys and our top ‘21 guys definitely could’ve all went 1st & 2nd team All County. Speaking of that, we feel some of our guys were snubbed & we’re not happy about it. We’ll definitely be back.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I like Meade’s defense. They’ll have some of the same faces, so they’ll be pretty tough. I’m not worried about anyone but if there is anyone it’s them.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to go to college to play football but most importantly further my education.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve gotten a visit from ODU back in May I believe after I ran my 4.55 laser 40 @ the Nike Opening in DC, and Howard’s recruiting coordinator texted my coach about my transcript before the season started.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“ODU because coach Daric Riley actually came to visit.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Not right now, but I’m looking to set some visits up.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I was born in Georgetown, so I liked their basketball team. Football related, I never really had a team. I was more attracted to the players. I used to love watching Tavon Austin and my favorite back in college last year was Benny Snell Jr.”
