Proud of Ty Johnson ....

Yesterday I watched my Buccaneers play the Jets. This was the first time I have seen Ty playing pro ball. I was hoping to get a look at Ty's skills being used by the Jets. Got almost more than I hoped for ..... The old Ty speed is still there, as displayed by the way he ran around the left side for a 15(ish) yard gain and another long run off right tackle. I hoped he would score a touchdown, and the one he did was an effort that was extraordinary.

So proud of Ty. He far exceeded my expectations yesterday, hope he has a long and productive career in the NFL. And I get to see him play many more times......

Looking like he'll probably make it into that "second contract" phase of his career as he moves into years 4-6. Its been fun watching his growth as a player.

Ty is now the #1 name in Cumberland area athletics history. He has represented this area for the last several years and has been relevant in the toughest sport.

I don't know why he doesn't get the ball more. He's the best back on the team.
