My community here in Fl is morning the lose of a 10th grade football player who ingested a large amount of creatine before a workout. After a couple of reps in the weightroom the young man had a heart attack and several days later passed away. I'm sharing this because I know athletes all over take this supplement as did i, but I've never heard of anyone dying from it. Please, if you know a kid taking this stuff just talk to them about the dangerous consequences of taking more then the direction call for. I was told by a world renown strength & conditioning coach back in 98 to only take half of what the directions say, your body cannot absorb it all and you'll be literally flushing your money down the toilet! Now he could've had an underlying heart condition that I'm unaware of but all signs are pointing to him od on creatine!
