The winner makes it to at least the semifinals. Quite possibly to Annapolis.

OK, that does depend on how the other match ups go this weekend and the reseeding that follows. If the rain holds off I will have to sneak up to Frostburg for this Friday night game that went to overtime about a month ago in Accident. Looks to me like both of these teams may have improved some since their last duel.

Northern 22-10. Northern was the better team a few weeks ago and had a chance to win it. The get a second chance to right those wrongs

Let the praise of Phil Carr begin. "Oh how doth doeth so well with thine numbers and talent he'est able to muster at yonder institution." Blah blah blah, bs, weird participation trophy crap some of you say. Who started this nonsense commentary that now gets repeated by so many these days??
Northern gets beat by FH/Ridge/Alco consistently, by large margins, and dude gets praised for fielding a team. Meanwhile, Hansel gets toasted like a pretty girl seated in that booth that's too close to Uncle Tuckers wood fire while she awaits her buffalo chicken pizza. Sweat pouring off the pretty girls head, sipping water, pulling at the neck on her sweater. It's real, and it's awkward when you notice.

Mountain Ridge played much better two weeks ago against a bad Keyser team. I am not sure how healthy Mountain Ridge is right now either. Northern did play better the first game.

My gut tells me Northern by at least 7, but my heart tells me Ridge by 7 to 10 points. Let's hope my heart is correct. I do believe that Northern would have a better shot at going deeper in the playoffs, should they win this matchup.

I know you are the expert on MR stuff but I don't see Northern beating them, you're heart is safe. Remember, Allegany beat Northern...that says more about Northern than anything else.

I'm no Northern guy but Phil Carr is a great man and coach. He has served his community well and his former players have an immense amount of respect for him. He does do a great job with his kids and the talent pool up there is not what it is down here. I also feel bad for Hansel, some of the criticism he takes is unwarranted.
