Kind of surprising that no one has mentioned the news on here yet. Not sure if anyone has seen it but news release on MPSSAA.org website announces that Sparks is set to retire.

Who do you think would replace Ole Ned?
I know that we all have had issues with Mr. Sparks and his (non) forward vision as to football, but who do you guys think would replace him. My suggestion would be Mike Calhoun. Mike seems to be in the loop for many things going on in Maryland High school stuff...especially in the football arena.
Then again I may be "pipe dreaming" that a Western Maryland person would even be considered at all.
Hopefully, we will get someone that is more pro-active and open minded about rules, regs and of course playoffs stuff.
