Last I saw Williamsport 47-27 late.

Last I saw Williamsport 47-27 late.

That was the final. There was a player apparently seriously injured down for several minutes, not sure for which team, that had to be taken off by stretcher. The game was called with I think like a minute left. Ridge made far too many mistakes. Williamsport had two pick 6's.

This loss by Ridge opens the door for Allegany to jump into the 3 seed potentially in the west. If that happens they will beat Clear Spring and then we might just see a FH/Alco state championship!

Don't overlook Northern. They are pretty solid, and you know that they are thinking the same thing and will be ready to play Friday night.

I did not foresee Williamsport smoking Mtn Ridge 47-27. Mtn Ridge beat Catoctin 29-12 and Catoctin smoked Williamsport 47-14. This was a big win for Williamsport despite Mtn Ridge seemingly returning to their normalcy after having a good 3-year run.

I am usually not one to criticize officials, but they were blatantly bad last night. Sometimes I guess I take for granted the quality of officials we have up here. We have some good ones.

I agree. I will be outspoken for blatant blown calls but games are generally called well in our area and the refs correctly manage the clock. I have watched DC refs and down state refs let clocks run when they should be stopped and ignore too many fouls just to make games finish quicker.
