1st. qtr almost over and Ty still doesn't have a carry... I really wish they would stop with the whole rb committee thing... Give yer best rb the dang ball.. The tv commentators even said Johnson should stay on the field. He is averaging almost 9ypc this yr. but Durkin could care less.. I feel bad for the kid. He is way too talented to be on the sideline. I know he wont but I wish he would transfer after this yr. so he could have a fair shot..

I think DJ was hoping for a big day and fast start from Hills. Didn't happen. 7 costly penalties, 2 turnovers, and only down 17. Number 6 is having another great day.

I agreed... when you got the back who LEADS THE COUNTRY in ypc it's probably a good idea to feed him the rock!

I'll give you that, he waits to long to make decisions. But I think this offense doesn't promote his speed either. Taking a hand off out of shot gun I'm sure is different than from a under center type of formation.

It wont matter because Durkin is never gonna give Ty the touches he deserves. Next yr. will be the same thing with 3-5 rbs carrying the ball every game. Ty will be the lead back but will probably only get 5-10 carries a game.

At the end of the game MD forced a 3 n out to give their offense a chance to win it... So they come out without Ty Johnson Lmao I couldn't believe it!!! Your best player that kept you in the game and your gonna have him on the sideline on the final drive.. They did bring him in on 3rd down to do some pass blocking for them... Either the offensive cordinator or the HC for the Terps stink really bad or maybe its both...

Ty definitely needed to touch the ball more (and I think he will next year) but the offensive line is the reason we lost the game. Our final 4 plays were 2 deflected passes, a scramble with a pass out of bounds and a sack. That sequence pretty much summed up the entire game. I agree, Hills isn't a great quarterback by any means but he had absolutely no time to do anything yesterday. We have a good recruiting class coming in, including some offensive lineman, so I think (and hope) the program is looking up.

Great game by Ty Johnson! As with everyone on this post, just don't understand the lack of touches for him. 15 yards per carry average on the day, I would have run him all day.

In Hill's first 5 passes he missed 4 wide open receivers, two of which could have scored. Hill isn't even a college level quarterback. He - and he alone - is responsible for this loss.

Screwed up the yards per carry, should be 10 yards instead of 15, still an awesome day for the young man.
