Looks like 4-4 Joppatowne beat 6-2 HDG. Given the Frederick Douglass-B lost, Joppatowne has the lowest remaining rating and will travel to FH. Either Forest Park or New Era will travel to Mtn Ridge, depending on the outcome of the Edmonton Westside bs New Era. This is the only score I do not know yet.

Joppatowne avenged a shut-out loss to Havre de Grace from earlier in the year. They seem to be playing pretty well for a 4-4 team. But as many people remember their last state title in the early 2000s they were a bit of an underdog as well. They came into the playoffs 4-5, and ended up winning the championship with an 8-5 record. Over Beall, in the title game.

I take full responsibility for that loss. I’ve seen Fort Hill in person 5 times and the Sentinels are 0-5 in those games with losses to Urbana, Potomac, Dunbar, Brunswick and of course, Perryville. On the flip side, I’ve seen Allegany in person twice and the Campers are 2-0 with wins over Linganore and Boonsboro. So yeah…..for Fort Hill’s sake I’ll try to stay away from Cumberland 🤣
