I can’t find anything MCC on Twitter now, and I fear the worst. Maybe it just how they handle things on social media, but I hope it’s not because harassment issues. We don’t need another Dunbar DC

Good luck to both teams today. Hope to see a injury free great game.

Because their kids don't post anything on social media you're assuming it's due to harassment? Whatever led you to that conclusion?

As previously stated... they were all over twitter yesterday. You can’t even see the head coach’s account anymore. All their film that was posted has all disappeared too

Almost all the team has a twitter account, but when I searched today, completely nothing

Also seen a couple accounts harass players in previous years.

FH is on another level... What a great game!
I think fair is fair, so when we all praise an incredible performance, a lot of heart and grit, it is really hard to find things to complain about. I will try and give some constructive criticism or responses to some statements that have been made.
Is FH lacking speed this year? I don't think so. Sometimes it is standing on the sidelines watching an MCC player run down the field, but that is a coaches decision to determine if tough is better than fast. Also, if you don't have your speedsters in the game when you open up a hole, it's a nice gain, but you aren't taking it all the way. In addition to that, there are people playing on defense that are neither fast nor tough, who are trying to push people out of bounds instead of tackling them, not sure why they are in there. .
On the 100 yd interception return 3 things:
First off, why are we throwing into triple coverage?
Second, why are we throwing on 3rd and 3 when you have covered 60 yards in four plays running the ball. Do we really think we can't get 3 yards in two plays?
Third, there were 6 missed tackles on that interception return, poor arm tackling, almost pathetic at this point in the season.
The next series when we went back to the same play and threw into triple coverage again, yes it was a td, but that is not a smart play. If you can't read a defense and you are locked onto one receiver, you are just gambling at that point
Re: the dbs...I'm giving them no blame for anything tonight. The coaches put them in some really bad positions. If you are going to play bump and run with these kind of athletes, you are going to get beat deep. If you then decide after a couple long bombs that you are going to back off then back off enough to make a difference, not 3 or 4 yards. There were several third and longs where you are on the line of scrimmage and you could be ten yards back, if the ball is caught they still haven't gotten a first down. By being up in their face they can run right by you and not only get a first but go all the way. There are times you have to be able to adjust, and whereas the bump and run is our normal d, tonight against a team like this, it was a tactical error. .
Here's where I think sometimes FH can get too conservative. You have just taken the lead for the first time. You have already had an extra point blocked. You have just ran right down the field on a tired, exhausted defense in a very short period....go for two! They aren't stopping you.
Clock management - So here's where FH intentionally did something that I think is insane You have had an extra point blocked, and you have muffed the snap on the previous extra point just minutes before. With only a minute to go in the game, you have driven 60 yards to the 16 in less than 30 seconds. You run a play and you are at the seven with sixteen seconds to go, and you have two timeouts. Call timeout, run a play to go for the td! MCC is exhausted Chances are really good you are going to score on the next play. Why let the clock run all the way down to attempt a kick you have previously failed on twice and leaving a timeout on the board. Why are you saving timeouts? If you are determined to only go for a field goal you still call timeout with 16 seconds left, go for the field goal, and If the snap is muffed, you can fall on it and call timeout, and you still have time to try it again.
Coach Appel mentioned the chirping by the MCC players to our fans. It's petty, and classless. When people from Frankfort or Allegany can see that type of behavior and still root against FH, shame on you. For those that came to support FH, a team that wouldn't taunt another teams fans, I applaud you!
For all that, I could not be more proud of Cumberland and FH tonight.

I agree on the 3rd and 3.... I personally was thinking field position for a potential FG. I was thinking about King as a weapon all night.

Everyone in my section was screaming “timeout!” In the final seconds. It took some courage to put it on King’s foot in final seconds after the previous 2 failed attempts (neither was kickers fault).

I think somebody told me that playing better competition was soso and we have no need to play Academy teams out of Baltimore... They didnt have faith I assume, but after that game we should have lil faith playing stiffer competition... All the blah blaah of fh lays down after getting smacked by a team of their caliber is gone now, and I just hope we ride the wave in to next week

"Let's represent Cumberland well".

Congratulations to the FH sentinels, Coach Appel, and the folks in Cumberland. I listened to the radio broadcast of the game and the excitement of the announcers. In trying to get a post game interview with the Coach, there was a live mic of the team saying the Lord's prayer. I think it's extraordinary that there are places where positive values of faith and family are promoted without shame. You can tell that there is an attempt to instill some humility in these young men that is essential to their success.

These kids are what we live for right? Not just football players, but all of them.. Todd is doing a great job of turning boys to men, building them for life nt just football.. I couldn't control myself, I was impressed by the humility fort Hill had after the game.. I know they were ready to cut loose, but held it together lng enough to say gd game and make it thru that line... even though they never experienced that crushing defeat Todd apparently taught them the understanding that this is a game, your joy is their pain.. Shake their hand show respect... Then were getting down... Yeah!!!

Seems you know more about FH football than the coaches ,, YOUR HIRED ,I honestly thought I was reading a post from Lags....lol

just a little too much rahrahrah, had to keep it real :)
Well you started off with constructive criticism then quickly to a different level , question what changes would you have made ? I guess you had access to the scouting reports to make such a long detailed post. While I’m at it I’m thinking you could point out a bunch of other things you wasn’t happy with

I would agree on the field goal at the end was a very BALL Z call after what happened earlier in the game . Other comments in your post I feel we had what we needed on the field based on film and scouting report when we was faced with all those D1 athletes and trust me that number will go up with a few D1and D2 offers

wing we all have opinions, and i take no offense to what you are saying. after allegany beat dunbar i heard some pretty big rips on their defense among other things. after they lost to cr people actually questioned their heart, their preparation, their guts, and that seemed pretty personal,.and i didn't like it. i'm not an alco person so i don't pretend to know much about it. so I stayed out of it.
i love fort hill, and couldn't be happier for last night. but i'm not complacent or satisfied, i think there is a lot of room for improvement. if that comes off as not constructive that is not my intention. if you want to question anything specific or disagree with my opinion that's what this board is for.

Right... think like a winner! You think Apple is gonna approach Monday’s practice with the theme... “guys obviously we’re perfect, and we have nothing to work on, so let’s just run laps and drink some water”? Maybe the coach is willing to “coached” by fans, and critics (through observation), or he just ignores it. But as a community we feel like we have a voice of reason for our community as well

But I’m sure they coach themselves also while watching film... for whatever reason they all forgot about the momentum lost against Keyser with a poor onside kick a couple yrs ago

I seen video of this as well and I'm all for Prayer but in the video the Prayer was led by a football staff member and that's a Big No No in High School. https://www.google.com/search?q=coa...rome..69i57.8134j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Who cares tho really... if your religious pray if not taking me and reflect with your brothers... Past that your just picking.. Tho I love to pick, just not about politics and religion with my football team... Starts a fight any and everywhere...lol
