I found this option a while back and I have used it for a few posters that typically never bring any value to this board. Personally, for me its cleans up the board nice and there is always the option for each post to “Show Ignored Content.” Not sure if everyone is aware of this option but I would suggest it. The nonsense comments and posturing from unknown people are simply invisible when signed in.

It's worth it. Blocked WaggleFail years ago and it's only improved the forum.

This forum is already more tame than Twitter. I have yet to see doxing and/or death threats.

Thing is, I once blocked out 'Route 9' for about 2 hours. It dawned on me that I was limiting my choices: If I saw the posts, I could read, not read, skim over or simply laugh at them.

This forum has already reached a level of an atta-boy back and forth with little challenge. If a FH fan decides to rant about something another team did, while having already blocked the other team's fans because they didn't like their posts, then what good (ultimately) is the rant if you never read the responses.

Because you and a few others go on and on and on and on over the most trivial B.S.

As opposed to the hard hitting stuff like -

<This is the football forum! Really... Find the basketball forum>

Can't believe I'll be missing out on that insight.

Just a suggestion that has made this board more enjoyable to me. I have only blocked 3 posters. One is an Alco poster that continuously tries to digress almost every thread into an anonymous tough guy contest outside the realm of high school football, one is a FH poster who joins in and the third is just a nonsense poster creating waste of time nonsense posts that purposefully have no connection to fandom or any coherent thought. Just those three eliminations have been a significant improvement.

Another self appointed forum god come to pass judgment. Read and respond to me or block me. I don't give a shit what you think. It's a forum.

To each his own. We are free to enjoy the forum as we see fit. I prefer that each post show up.

Ya know... Most of the time "ya gotta love the Lag". I enjoy your posts, but when you get on "the kick" about all the talent just sittin on The FH bench in every single post it gets redundant and so false. I realize there's a hidden agenda there but come on...

If there is, help me out 'cause I pretty much let my complete opinion hang out. I would compare how I feel about Allegany to when I attended an Alco/Northern game at Northern. Northern had a bunch of kids previously injured on top of their small bench. It was sad to watch them try and stop Allegany.

If schools are barely filling a bench and have too many kids playing both offense and defense.... well, let those schools seek to find competition equal to their ability. All this constant 'sturm und drang' about nobody-will-play-us.... Talk about tiresome.... Talk about real 'whining' - that's real big-boy pants time.

An entire thread was heaped at Keyser for dropping Fort Hill. The ridicule troweled out by most red-jackets around here was breathtaking. And that... that was the beginning of my perspective that Fort Hill should go its own way. Let all the other schools do their own thing.

If MR wants to be a steady game or Allegany and Southern want a single year every now and then. Fine. Just because schools are local should not be a guaranteed patsy, not in a contact sport like football.

I thought the mission of sports was to enhance the student's experience. If Fort Hill can gather its talent and clean up in 1A, then fine. If the other schools are merely suiting up a team to play football, that's fine too.

The idea that only Fort Hill is doing things right smacks of the worst case of adult hubris. The idea that if other schools just did-things-the-FH-way they would have an equal number of athletes playing football belies the actual numbers.

As the old saying goes, "Let go and let God."
