With the renovation work being done in the stadium and Fort Hill’s practice field being used as a ”staging area” how will the practice field be ready in time?

These are South end kids; they're used to playing in the street!
Just like they did in years past...Washington Jr. High just down the street has all the field they will ever need!

The upper practice field is the same as it ever was. We will be holding the JV Quad Scrimmage on this upper field. The lower baseball field has a mound of dirt that makes only about 2/3 of the field usable. That is where they will build the handicap parking. No more parking will be permitted on the upper practice field, not even the media. Which makes sense when you are dealing with ruts and places kids practice all day.
Out of all the renovations at Greenway the one that never gets addressed are those practice fields. The upper field has been concrete for 50+ years, the grass is not grass but a weed that is gone by September. One would have thought the FH football nation the last half century would have actually fixed it with fertilizer, seeding and watering. But hey, if it was good enough for me, it's good enough for the kids today, LOL.
