#1
Suitland vs. #2 Northwest
On Suitland: They may have given up their highest point total of the year in the
semifinals (25) but Suitland is alive and looking to slow down another potent
offense. Anthony Jackson and a stacked unit defensively have been crucial
to their winning ways but Robert Wigfall and the offense is quite capable of
putting up numbers as well. The Rams have gotten over the 40 point mark
five times this fall.
Suitland MVP: Robert Wigfall
On
Northwest: Since their October 25th loss against Gaithersburg has played
inspired football while beating some of the best teams in Class 4A.
Quarterback Mark Pierce may just be a sophomore but his poise and ability to
make plays has allowed him to stand out among his peers. The defense did enough
in slowing down a potent attack in the semifinals to allow the Jaguars to make a
shocking run to the championship.
Northwest MVP: Mark Pierce
Prediction: Suitland 38, Northwest 31
Why: The defensive players are
Suitland have been more productive overall and it shows here.
Conference in Prediction: Medium
