What stood out to us over the weekend
Westminster 21, Middletown 19
Seeing a dominating program in Middletown go
down in the opener was a surprise but this team was hit extremely hard by
graduation. They must be ready to bounce back in a hurry but will need a
lot of younger athletes to grow up in a hurry.
Eleanor Roosevelt 28,
Gwynn Park 22
Gwynn Park may have slightly slid in the rankings but they gave
Roosevelt all that they could handle in this narrow loss. Expect them to
learn from it and bounce back in a hurry.
Friendship Collegiate
45, Dunbar 8
The score certainly was lopsided but it was an opportunity for
Dunbar to play against an elite opponent. If they can stay healthy, this
team will only get better.
St. Paul's 33, Hereford 19
What does
previously rated Hereford need to do in order to turn things around? This
club has to come back together and prove what they can do as a team playing as
one.
Potomac 28, Suitland 0
Not many are giving Potomac credit
but they have outscored opponents 75-7 early on. That dominance will be
crucial for them going forward.
Oakdale 54, Catoctin 2
