Northern/Southern is on 104.5 WKHJ, not sure if you all in Allegany Co, especially off the mountain can pick it up though. Saw on Scorestream on the WHAG site that Southern is up 21-0 in the 2nd which is honestly surprising to me, I figured Northern would keep it somewhat close, given the scores against common opponents have been pretty similar during the season, guess the injuries were too much.

Northern got kickoff, lost fumble on very first snap. Southern scored to go up 7-0 quick.

Wow... that Green Street Academy/Douglas score shocks me!

As it turns out, these playoff predictions were not 100% full proof. Close, but not exact. Projecting seeds requires the ability to predict the outcome of every game, which is never a guarantee. Fort Hill now overtakes Dunbar in the point totals by 1/10th of a point. The game that probably sealed this finish was Green Street Prep upsetting Douglass (Balt), taking a bonus point away from Dunbar.

As it turns out, with the FH homecoming win over rival Alco the Sentinels now become the No. 2 overall seed in all of Class 1A. Undefeated Reginald Lewis out of the North Region (the same region as Dunbar) gets the top honor as the No. 1 overall seed.

Assuming the favorites win out, which assumes Dunbar beats Reginald Lewis, here are the semifinal seed projections:

1. Fort Hill (9.59)
2. Dunbar (9.58)
3. Havre de Grace (9.40)
4. Douglass-PG (6.50) / Lackey (7.70)

MPSSAA POINTS DILEMMA
Last week it was pointed out that the two Pittsburgh City League schools FH beat this year (USO and Westinghouse) had indeed played a 10 game schedule based on their Pennsylvania playoff structure. Despite playing the same teams twice, those games by USO and Westinghouse would count toward the FH point totals. Well, that was only half correct. The MPSSAA rules state that when any MPSSAA school plays the same opponent more than one, only the results of the first game count in the point totals. However, for other non-MPSSAA member schools this is not the case as multiple games against the same opponent do all count. That is correct. But...PLAYOFF GAMES DO NOT COUNT.

So both USO and Westinghouse - two teams FH beat - only their regular season games count. Any post season game that was not scheduled originally are not counted. Hence, USO (4-5) played a 9 game schedule and Westinghouse (5-3) played an 8 game schedule, thus raising the point totals for Fort Hill in the end since both the USO and Westinghouse lost playoff games do not count.

The argument however is that Pittsburgh City League teams are only permitted to play 8 or 9 games max. They must leave week 9 and week 10 open for their City League playoffs. In essense, these are absolutely scheduled games. It's just that the opponents are not known ahead of time. It does a MPSSAA team like Fort Hill no good to play a team in this situation if they can only guarantee an 8 game schedule. But that is not how the MPSSAA views the situation. So in the end, the FH point totals only count as 9 games for USO and 8 games for Westinghouse.
