I would think the Goal is To Win it all, getting there and losing doesn't mean much, I also think if they are going to Beat FH it's on there Home Field, I also don't think many will travel down there, maybe 400 from FHIf given some truth serum, what to you think the CSD coach would say about having to play FH at home in the quarters, as opposed to playing FH in the pre forfeit presumed final in Annapolis. Knowing you have to win out to be champion regardless of who is in front of you. Just wondering what scenario he would rather have. My guess that on the bus back from Greenway last year he told his team "to be state champs, we will have to beat that team in Annapolis next year".

Doesn't the F club or anybody do buses anymore? Old people love bus trips so this would be the perfect opportunity for the old dwindling population to have a field trip.Game is set for Friday at 6:30.
A very unfriendly set up for fans has this been so far. I'm sure it will be live and FH will put 50 parents/fans in the stadium seats.
“Old dwindling population to have a field trip” may be the post of the year lmaoDoesn't the F club or anybody do buses anymore? Old people love bus trips so this would be the perfect opportunity for the old dwindling population to have a field trip.
Friday at 6:30 for an away game over 3 hours away is tough for people to get to. Sucks but it just is.Game is set for Friday at 6:30.

The FH coaches chose Friday night.Friday at 6:30 for an away game over 3 hours away is tough for people to get to. Sucks but it just is.
That's why you don't see too many fans from these teams when they've had to travel here for for a 6:30 game when they are 2 or 3+ hours away.
Kudos to the CSD staff for giving FH a dose of their own medicine. No FH fan should be bitching at all about this trip. Go or don't go. But shut your trap and do whichever one you choose to do quietly.
Good deal. So no complaining allowed. The FH coaches chose Friday night.
The complaints are valid if you have children - they will have to skip school for parents to see their other child play a game and take a day off work. It is what it is. Some say now you know what other teams feel like coming to Greenway on a Friday. Well actually, none of them came from over 3 hours away. And if they did like Cambridge last year it was on Black Friday with no school for Thanksgiving weekend. Or Kent County the year FH had to play that on a Saturday. Whatever, it was the FH coaches call so you are correct, no complaining. It was also the FH coaches call to play Clear Spring on Thursday in the rain instead of Saturday. So roll with it and trust the coaches' method.Good deal. So no complaining allowed.
Trust me...I've been hearing it. And it's stupid.
Fort Hill last played at C-SD in 2006 or 2007. I missed that one but I will heading down this Friday, rain or shine. Road trips are fun. I have only ever been to Cambridge for work so it will be nice to be there for entertainment. There are no NFHS cameras at Cambridge. If Commercial Video shows it live, there won't be but 40 FH fans in attendance. The last time FH played at Cambridge was 1979 (a loss). Coach Jim Chaney's first season. I was there and FH had about 2000 fans in attendance.
That's right. I forgot about 2007. OK, FH has been there twice and Cambridge has been to FH twice.Fort Hill last played at C-SD in 2006 or 2007. People take their kids out of school and skip work for far less. I hear ya, but honestly, I just tire of the entitlement some (SOME - not all) FH fans have, They dont have enough bleachers, its too far to drive, can they handle our massive caravan of fans, etc...(which as we've discussed, doesn't exist anymore) - FH had 3 times as many students in 1979 as they do now, which means 3 times as many fans, too.The complaints are valid if you have children - they will have to skip school for parents to see their other child play a game and take a day off work. I realize Cumberland is a hoppin' place with more things to do than you could ever hope to get them all in before you die...but if every football players family, band members family, cheerleaders family..you'd easily have several hundred. If you count the senior field trip buses(all of which should advertise as stopping at the Golden Corral)then you'd have another hundred or so. People take their kids out of school for a week to vacation so a half day isn't really an excuse.People take their kids out of school and skip work for far less. But anyhoo - just go, do work, come home healthy - that's all I'm pulling for.
It really comes down to just apathy. Of course, there will not be crowds like 15 to 45 years ago but people my age and younger don’t even make excuses, they are just lazy or uninterested as a whole unless their kid is involved. My parents used to get us out of school early every Friday and that was for the CVAL games. I would see a dozen or more kids my age at the away games who may or may not have had any relatives playing for FH. Now you barely see any young kids at away games.I realize Cumberland is a hoppin' place with more things to do than you could ever hope to get them all in before you die...but if every football players family, band members family, cheerleaders family..you'd easily have several hundred. Me too. It’s funny. I’m in Virginia Beach and it’s literally 3 1/2 hours from here alsoFort Hill last played at C-SD in 2006 or 2007. 1982Tony 54. What year did you graduate from FH?
