Bishop Walsh beat a decent Bishop Shanahan team. BW will play in the championship game tomorrow at 2:30 pm. No shot clock in this tournament, which Coach Prete does not like. BW plays full court man to man.

Olivier Nkhouma(sp?) Had a big game, 16 and 9 boards, a few big dunks. Kid will be a steal for a mid major program. VT commit Gultekin had a quiet night not sure he even scored. Callum Baker had a nice game as well. Coach Prete played a lot of guys today with the back to back. Will most likely play State College tomorrow who were 24-2 last year and beat St James 58-41 in this same tournament last year. Should be a good one. On a side note,.not really sure why the shot clock isn't universal by now, every level of the game has it and most states do.

Blueandgold45, they should be one of the better teams in the state of MD this year. They play some National Competition and should be fairly competitive. There is a post in this group called BW, its about their basketball team this year.

Bishop Shanahan beat State College 68-40 in the consolation game. For what it's worth all 3 of the other teams in this tournament won at least 24 games last year.

Not having a shot clock hurts a team like BW who wants to get out in transition but they played really strong defense and haven't allowed over 46 points in a game yet this season. Coach Prete I think has shown he's not overly concerned with blowing people out as he has played most of his bench the last two games and I think we'll see that in the local games as well. Teams like Southern that are efficient and can muddy up the game some will have the best chance of competing

Looks liKe they have a very strong team with size, shooters and quickness. They will keep getting better as they play with each other and get use to the coaching style. I don't think they will intentionally blow teams out and try to win by large margins. The coach made the statement that some of the less advanced players will get a lot of playing time and may play full games against teams.
