they are definitely a step down from Mountain Ridge, Fort Hill and the top teams. They give all they got and will improve over the next few years. They could finish the year with 2 losses at the most 3, which I’m sure surprised some people.ALCO is a team you may not want to draw come playoff time. They are going to be a tough out...
Do you think they will improve enough to overtake FH and MR?they are definitely a step down from Mountain Ridge, Fort Hill and the top teams. They are building a program that the kids believe in, hopefully in the next couple years they can at least be competitive. There are sophomores starting and playing in key spots right now Brody Williams, Zach Michaels, Brett Patterson, qb, lb, on the line, a sophomore has been stepping in and running the ball a good bit. This should bring them leadership on the field. They have kids that are finally believing in the program and they work year round. They won’t overtake FH or Ridge, but hopefully over the next couple years they will at least become somewhat competitive.Do you think they will improve enough to overtake FH and MR?
I think you are spot on but there is one thing that is ongoing, there are always sophomores starting and playing year after year so even when these kids are better next year you can be sure there will be the need to move up more sophomores who are not ready but it's necessary so the inexperience will still be there thus continuing this cycle. They are building a program that the kids believe in, hopefully in the next couple years they can at least be competitive.
