Here are the current 1A West point standings through Week 8:
1A WEST - WEEK 8 POINT TOTALS

Heading into the final week of regular season play.
I am going to make 2 assumptions: Northern beats Southern and Clear Spring beats Hancock

Fort Hill has locked up the West Region #1 seed win or lose at Homecoming. They are locked in with a rematch of Smithsburg in the first round at Greenway if no teams opt out of the playoffs. If any team opts out of the playoffs, Fort Hill will get a BYE in the first round.

Here are the projections. They key game outside of Homecoming will be Mountain Ridge at Keyser.

Not really. They play Fort Hill in the second round.. Then thier season is over. I should have made it more clear. I’m talking about getting out of the region. I want to see what they can do against other teams.

The MPSSAA Week 8 point totals are out. With that said.

If FH wins Homecoming they will be the #3 overall seed in all of Class 1A. The top 3 seeds will likely be:
1. Cambridge
2. Boonsboro
3. Fort Hill

Boonsboro is going to beat Smithsburg this week. But Cambridge may get a game out of Easton, who is 6-2 and in Class 2A. If Cambridge would lose that could shake up the #1 and #2 seeds. In that event, FH is still the #3 seed and will still have to travel to either Boonsboro or Cambridge for the semifinal game if the favorites continue to win out. Much is assumed here as upsets in Regional play happen.

I’m hoping you’re right. I would love to see what Alco can do against teams not named Fort Hill. . I think they’re ground game is really potent.

IDK. Their students seem to have fun regardless of the score. Would not surprise me if they play next Friday at Greenway. Alco will play that Saturday if so.
