Congrats to Clear Spring

For the second week in a row they sit atop the Class 1A West point standings.

They should be in the top 2 or 3 of the overall 1A point standings. I know, I know...it's only Week 3. Good for the Blazers.

Clear Spring is actually now a hair bigger than Northern Garrett with enrollment.

Frostburg State Football

FSU football is the real deal in the Mountain East Conference, and really all of D2. They attract a lot of talent (in all sports). And they should. It's a beautiful campus with multiple new buildings and facilities. And btw, the price of tuition (especially for in-state folks) isn't as hateful as most places these days. If you can't catch a game in-person, download the Mountain East Conference app and watch for free.
I watch many of the games off of the MEC website. They do a pretty good job with the broadcast.

Stone bridge vs Quince orchard

Two years in a row the consensus on moco board has been that QO will wax stone bridge and it turns out to be a close game. QO is Uber talented, but they lack a lot in the way of discipline imo. You can tell close games are a rarity by watching them.

Stone bridge’s brutal ooc scheduling the last two years is something else. Playing GC, Martinsburg, Dunbar, Madison, and QO a combined 8 times in 2 years is just hellacious.
Yes it is

Alco/Ridge

Like I said earlier in the season, Ridge has some work to do. But a win is a win, even if it was ugly.
The taunting penalty on Ridge (a legit penalty by the way), was a killer. I believe they would have been set up with a first and goal late in the fourth. Instead the penalty pushed them out of the redzone, and eventually turned the ball over on downs. On to next week.

Alco/Ridge

Well I'm glad I decided to go to the stadium tonight. Alco holds Ridge TO on downs, drives down to the Ridge 30 and stalls there. Alco has NO passing game, or this could've been different.

24-21. Awesome to see a good local game like this.
Some very questionable calls by the MR coaching staff made it closer than it should've been as well. Allegany's inability to pass the ball hurt them when they needed it. Their ability to run the ball effectively on first down all night kept them in the game. I can't tell you how many times they were 2nd and 5 or less.
