You really don't know for sure what is broken until you play someone that exposes the problem. As long as the State lets everyone into the playoffs, there's no reason not to play a couple of teams that expose your issues during the season.

I had trouble trying to watch a Hampshire game earlier this year as well.

Hands down he's the best defensive player in the area.

Smaller than FH. Talking to a Williamstown parent yesterday. High School has about 350 to 400 students. Williamstown runs grades 6 thru 12. Roughly 100 kids per grade.

Frankfort’s JV only lost to Martinsburg 7-0. Pretty bad JV team by martinsburg standards but impressive still. If Frankfort could’ve kept Twigg they’d be poised for a real run.

There was no way to tell. If you saw this team in pregame warm ups you would have thought otherwise.

It happens everywhere. You see undefeated and one loss teams that have no concept of a difficult opponent until they play one. And most coaches do their best to avoid one at all costs. An old Alco coach once told me that if he played a 10 game schedule, he wanted at least one team that was better than his, three that are equal and two that were at least competitive. Today, it's one game that might be as good as mine and nine games against teams less than mine.

it usually works good for me, I don't think the problem is with NFHS, it's more that the schools just set it up to run and walk away and if it doesn't work right, they don't even know and could care less. Most of the other teams out of this area do a great job with it.

Another amazing game by #22. It seemed like he was the first guy there on almost every tackle. That hit at the start of the third quarter was brutal. . He really is going to be sorely missed.

One thing for sure, Carr will have his kids ready to play.

Thanks, red&blue, I forgot that they went that far in 2014. Usually, they are out after the second round. It will be fun to watch them down the road. (They may not know how to act, playing most or all of their playoff games at home.) LOL

Keyser has completely fallen off a cliff since biser left. Good coaches and good systems matter no matter how good or bad the players are

2014. Made it and lost to Bridgeport

I was impressed that when the game quickly got out of hand their kids seemed to keep their composure. Says a lot for their coaching staff. I think there were only six penalties in the whole game.
