The week 6 playoff point standings are now up on the mpssaa site. Fort Hill has a commanding lead overall with a 8.45 average. ALCO jumps into second in the 1A West with a 6.03 average, slightly above Ridge who has a 6.00 average. Havre de Grace is number two overall with a 6.30 average.

Many of those totals are incorrect. Alco has 25 win points not 26. Not sure who they got credit for beating as a 2A team. I still have Mtn Ridge as the 2 seed.

Albert Gallatin has 1100 students what size would they be considered?
Gallatin has 730 students grades 9-11 which those are the 3 grades the MPSSAA uses. This is according to the official PIAA listings that the MPSSAA has always utilized. That would make them Class 1A in Maryland. If the MPSSAA is now using another source that would be a first I dont know of. All state sites like the PIAA, WVSSAC, VHSL list their official enrollments for these purposes. I will find out. There are some other discrepancies.

I thought there were some discrepancies between these, (the mpssaa), and your standings Todd. I like yours much better anyway, lol. I hope the mpssaa gets it right come playoff time.

Most errors are caused by how many games a team plays. The bonus points are different for every game your beaten opponent wins based on how many games you play and how many games they play. During this COVID season it's difficult sorting through it all correctly. But the win points are usually easy based on points for class size.
