The two surprises to me are Northern Garrett and Boonsboro. I know that Northern has beat up on a really weak schedule, but not much was expected from them. I watched the Boonsboro/Mtn. Ridge scrimmage. I didn't expect them to beat Allegany and Williamsport. I expected loses to Middletown and Catoctin.
It seems up to this point Boonsboro, Brunswick, Northern, Mountain Ridge are all fairly close at playing level any of those teams could beat another. Catoctin and FH way in front of everyone at playing level and the rest there’s a drop off way below.
Despite the one loss, you have to figure that if the big schools on FH's schedule, 4A Morgantown, 3A Hedgesville, had more than just one win between them they would be at least tied with Catoctin for top seed.
Walkersville vs. Catoctin will decide the West next week. I don't see FH or Catoctin losing another game at all.
MOCO board said Walkersville did not look good at all in their loss to Linganore last night. So you think they will come out a bit testy next week.
