Ty Johnson blisters Indiana with a 62 yd touchdown run!

I don't understand why (after continued success running) do they choose to throw on 1st downs...

Every time they pass on 1st they been forced to face a 3rd and long. They're killing their own momentum by diverging from what's working

My Facebook page blows up every Saturday with people complaining because Ty doesn't get more touches. At first I thought it was just crazy FH fans, lol - but now it's getting ridiculous how much more productive he is compared to the other backs. I'm not impressed with Durkin so far. I thought he was a defensive guru? It's going to come down to a season-ending game against Rutgers to become bowl eligible.

Im less impressed with the D coordinator but even more so the offensive coordinator.. Their D line lacks the talent needed to play in the big 10 that will only get better with recruiting and Durkin is a master recruiter.. But as far as the offense goes not impressed with the play calls one bit... Like crickrat said Ty should be getting the majority of the work load.. They rotate too many backs and rotate along the line too much for any of the players to get hot and stay in rhythm... Also they rely way too much on throwing the ball with a team that set a record for ints last yr.... And with a quarterback known more for wrestling..... Their play calling makes you scratch your head most of the time... Hopefully its just growing pains. But you think for people to be getting paid so much they could figure out the common sense stuff.

But isn't Durkin basically the DC? I think it's unfair to blame the OC until they can get a legit QB in. Kasim Hill will probably start from day one. Hopefully he comes in early.

I'm not sure of the inner workings at umd but usually the defensive coordinator calls the defense...And I'm not blaming the offense it is what it is... But I blame the play calling.. Not getting the ball to your best back, splitting duties with 4 other running backs? Throwing a screen pass to an offensive lineman in a critical 2 pt conversion play getting him injured in the process... Dialing up deep ball after deep ball... The list goes on and on all falls on offensive play caller...

Also you can clearly see the lack of talent and size along the defensive front 7... Only so much you can do without having the athletes.. The offensive side looks much better...
