I don't know which one was worse...C.J. Brown at quarterback or Mike Locksley as an Off. Coordinator. Wow that was hideously bad.
When you are losing 42-14 to start the 4th quarter there is no need to call play-action passes, especially when the defense is in a 3 man rush. You are not fooling anyone faking the run at that point yet that remained the game plan. The read-option running attack was useless at that point as well. It was time to take Brown out at that point and move on to next year's option. Lost some coaching game plan respect last night. Locksley might be able to recruit, but I don't believe he is a great option as a play caller.
Other than Ole Miss not showing up today against TCU, that Terps might get the 2014 bowl award for being the most unprepared mentally and schematically.
