Wow. That’s a lot of respect for Fort Hill

In the all classification poll, Fort Hill hasn't been in the top 20 all season. They did get 3 votes after the Old Mill win. They somehow lost even those votes after Hollidaysburg. Interesting to see if they get ranked this week.

Wow. That’s a lot of respect for Fort Hill

I am certain there will be naysayers about the poll. Personally, I don’t give polls much credence.

However, I will point out two other teams ranked and their association with Fort Hill.

Fort Hill put a running clock on 3A Oakdale this weekend. Last week, Linganore, #14, beat Oakdale in overtime 54-53. Keep in mind, Fort Hill only gave up 7 points to Oakdale and scored 42 on them.

Fort Hill beat 4A Old Mill (#21) in week #2 28-13. Old Mill is currently 4-1.

So…if the naysayers want to say Fort Hill does not deserve to be ranked, then they also need to dismiss Linganore and Old Mill. Any person who knows anything about the consistency of the Linganore and Old Mil programs knows it’s not too easy to dismiss those two schools.

If Mountain Ridge wins over Fort Hill this week, should they be considered to be a top team in MD?

Rankings are arguable, but games are won and lost on the field of play.
