Alright so here is the Silver Oak Academy (SOA) deal. They played a game last week against Maryland Freedom. SOA won the game 20-6 and it was fully completed. After the game a brawl broke out in the stands and someone had to be taken away in an ambulance. Neither of these teams are under MPSSAA jurisdiction.
South Hagerstown is set to play at SOA tomorrow (Friday) at Taneytown Memorial Park. There was some question as to whether Washington County was going to allow South to play SOA based on last week's altercation. So they did their investigation with both parties and the refs as to who may have been at fault and gave the permission for this game to play played tomorrow. From what I gather SOA was not all at fault, of course that depends on who you talk with.
So there was never an issue of SOA not having enough kids. God Bless Kevin Mcleod at Silver Oak. He is their head coach, AD and many other things dealing with a school full of kids who need his help. And he is great at it. As far as coach Mcleod and SOA is concerned they are playing all their games.
