So that the state finals aren't pushed back a week. An organization that has a history of dumb decisions like the MPSSAA this has to rank near the top. It probably doesn't matter much downstate since those schools are like a half an hour away.
What does Navy losing have to do with their field availability?
We burnt the Greenway bridge years ago when we convinced Mark Whatshisnuts and someone else to play that Maryland All Star Game in Cumberland years ago. Crowd was OK but I think they thought 10,000 people would show up.
so Navy could play the conference championship game a week before they finish their regular season against Army?
While the MPSSAA is an entity we all question at times, there is no way they delay title games until the weekend of Dec 10. That would have a negative effect on other winter sports, for sure. They would certainly find another site, such as Towson University or Morgan State University. Am I right? They surely had a contingency plan, right?
What yr. was that? I dont remember a All-Star Game @ Greenway...We burnt the Greenway bridge years ago when we convinced Mark Whatshisnuts and someone else to play that Maryland All Star Game in Cumberland years ago. Crowd was OK but I think they thought 10,000 people would show up.
